- Wedding: July 2013
Hi Hive! I’m not very active here, but love looking at the DIYs and everybodies’ super creativeness. I will be getting married maybe 2014/2015 (long engagement roughly 4-5 years)! Anywhoodles, I wanted to share the invites that I think I have finally decided on! One of those Aha! moments. Let me know what you think. I have templates and instructions that I made up too if anyone is interested email me and I’d be happy to share: [email protected]
Now onto the good stuff:
Supplies for 100 invites:
125ish sheets heavier patterned or textured cardstock
-Got mine on sale at Joann for 16 cents each 🙂
150 sheets lighter weight contrasting color cardstock
-Also on sale at Joann (50 sheet value pack for $1.88)
Cool decorative whole punch
-I got a Martha Stewart one on clearance at Hobby Lobby for $15
Paper cutter (I am borrowing a friends)
Glue stick ($1.90)
Printer with ink (haven’t done printing yet, but the cost varies per printer, printing will be 2-3 cents each invite)
Add it all up: $45.54 total
45 cents an invite including printing. I haven’t bought sealing stickers yet, so that will probably be 2-3cents extra.
Here are the pictures:
Remember this is a mock up, the final won’t have the rips!
Closed invite. You would just fold it closed, seal and send it off.
Ignore the 35 cents thing, little note to myself. What do all you creative ladies think?
I made up really detailed instructions if anyone wants them too!
