What a great idea. I would never have thought of glueing a candle stick and plate together!

Funny I saw these at dollarama and I I had the same vision! Great job! They will work for sure and you can leave them plain or jazz them up with a ribbon. I like!

This looks great! Maybe you can go to some second hand stores and find some more interesting plates for cheap (still clear) or some different candle holders in different heights. I can’t wait to see pics of your fininished candy bar.

I made a bunch of stands and a few were crooked… so just be sure to measure each one to ensure the candle stick holder is centered.

I like the idea a lot!! Are you doing different colors, shapes or sizes??

I did the same thing for my daughter’s wedding.  Got the clear plates (I found all clear with no design at Target and Wal-Mart) but I used martini glasses for the bases.  I loved the look of the ones with the zig zag stem.  I also used other glasses (wine, etc) but loved the martini the best.  Everything in the wedding was embellished with pearls and my favorite thing to use is the pearls from the scrapbooking area at Michaels and Hobby Lobby!  When they are 1/2 off they are so reasonable!  They are on double sided tape so you peel and stick.  The ones I wanted to keep on after washing I used the E-6000 glue (the same stuff I used for putting the plate and glasses together).  We used these for the 18 different kinds of cupcakes at the reception (cupcake menu shown in the back).  The labels were put in the bigger cupcakes in the middle.  All flavors were decorated differently and everyone loved it!  I love the diy trays so much I also bought glass bowls from Dollar Tree and made the nut bowls to match!

oh my gosh that dessert table looks so great!

I had seen a post that said to be careful if you use martini glasses because they might not hold the weight so well but yours are nice and thick so they look awesome!

thanks for the inspiration ladies!

I’m off to the dollar store… ;D
