I don’t mean to sound rude, because this is gorgeous and the biggest diamond I ever seen. But is this real?? This should be on Hollywood bling!!! Congrats!!!
Thanks! Yes, it’s a natural diamond. I’m still pinching myself!!
Do you have a picture of it on your ringer?
Bliiiiiiimey!!! Yeah lets see it on! Gorgeous. Can’t pretend im not very jealous right now!!!
@jwilk241 – no, we just bought it, he hasn’t proposed.. So, I was not allowed to “try it on” yet.
@Mre.HMBucks – 🙂 Thanks! Its more than I could have ever imagined!
just WOW! Can’t wait to see it on your finger 🙂
I would be SO afraid the diamond would fall out!
I originally posted whether the prongs were suspending the diamond, or if they were to be bent over it…and then I ventured on over to the Ring boards to see those gorgeous pics of your ring again, and found my answer! 🙂 I LOVE the pic of you trying it on in your car, those prongs indeed appear to have a good grip on that beautiful rock!!
Beautiful rose gold setting, I love the diamond details…and that is one AMAZING diamond—so excited for you!!!
i have a 4ct diamond that i just had custom designed in a rose gold setting. im really surprised that they would put a stone that large in prongs like that because EVERY jewler i went to told me they would not put my diamond in prongs that had diamons on them because it makes the prongs loose and a large stone would be too dangerous to put in that. what jewler did this for you?
Well, if you look closely, there are diamonds at the base of the crown, then little scalloped pieces connecting the prongs together, so there aren’t diamonds in the structural 6 prongs, only in the decorative scalloped pieces and at the base. Yes, diamonds in the prongs generally have less metal, thus making them weaker. It is insured, so even if it falls out- it will get replaced 🙂 To answer your question, I bought the diamond from a private broker, the ring was ordered straight from the manufacturer, and I had Jared The Galleria of Jewelry set the stone into the ring.
@gardenroses thanks!!! Yes, it looks much more secure now that it’s actually set lol lol 🙂
