When Mr.Ladybug and i got engaged the first thing that came to mind was How are we going to ask our bridal party to be our bridal party? We didnt just want to take them out to lunch, we are known for being really creative so we got nervous! We began reading and google-ing on unique ways, but they all seem not us. That weekend we went to the mall and we saw the cutes thing ever! Giant Fortune cookies! awww perfect, for guys and gals! We came out with the idea of getting everyone a Giant fortune cookie with a cute fortune inside asking them to be in our wedding. It was perfect….until we saw the price! $ 30.00 each! ouch! We have 10 people in our party, thats $300.00! no way thats in our budget! so we decided to DIY. Yes you heard me DIY giant fortune cookies. I search the web, google and youtube how to make fortune cookies and after much hard work here is the final product! Vuala!
We made 2 different sizes. The smaller ones we used to ask our little ones to be in our party. The flower girl and ring holder. Cute huh? It took a lot of work, but you got to love Martha! I use her recipe for fortune cookies and just use a 12′ pizza pan to make the giant circles.
The folding took a while but after much practice we got it right! heres a “naked cookie”
and here they are before being wrap.
this is what the fortune said, i just printed it on white paper and cut into strips.
Our friends love it! and we saved so much money! I had all the ingridients in my kitchen even the extracts! I just had to buy the chocolate and the clear wrap.
How did you ask your bridal party? Did you do seperate items for bridesmaids and groomsman? Or did you do it like me and everyone the same?
