I’ve just finished my invitations and after several tries to get the wording and the pictures to match I’m happy with the results. I made an accordion style invitatoin with pictures of my fiance and I on the back side of the invitations. I got grey cardstock from Staples (250 sheets for $13 something) and the printable sticker paper from there as well (30 sheets for $13 something) but I found them on Ebay for 100 sheets for $11 so I’m going to order those as well. You just print out the invitations and the pictures (I made a table on Word so that the invitations and the pictures would be more or less uniform size) and cut them with my paper cutter. I cheated on the ribbon and instead of going all the way through I cut smaller strips and just glued each card together. It’s more cost effective.
I also made save the date magnets. I just found a business card template in Word that had a cool design that matched my colors and wrote out the save the date info and printed onto printable magnetic paper–Staples has this for 4 sheets for $7.79 and each sheet makes 10.
I used the same image from the business cards for the information cards and the response cards and also printed out information cards and response cards all in the same cardstock as the invitations.
I’m planning on mailing everything in a jewelry box. I’m going to wrap the invitations in tissue and seal it with a sticker I found at Joann’s fabrics that says On this day I marry my friend ($3.49 for 48) and then wrap everything in tissue.
