I had some heavy venice lace appliques sewn into my dress for modesty. I love it, but what do y’all think?
Is it too much? There’s nothing on the bottom of the dress except box pleats in the back and a chapel train. All my accessories are SUPER simple, so I hope I can get away with it all!

beautiful! I am not crazy about the sash, but if you love it that is what matters!

I think the dress looks amazing. The extra lace in the bust really enhances the front. Plus, I’m a wee bit in love with the little cap sleeves. So pretty 🙂

I LOVE the lace addition! Very whimsical dress. If anything makes it “too much” it would be the sash I think

It looks great! I feel like sometimes when there are additions for modisty, they take away from the design of the dress, but this totally adds to it. So beautiful!

i really love the addition of the lace… but i dont like it with the purple sash… the lace is elegant and pretty… the sash is modern…. perhaps a sash that matches the style and color of the dress?

Love it with the lace, but I agree on the purple sash color not working as well. I’d go for a more muted satin tone that doesn’t detract from the detail of the lace. Maybe wear purple shoes if you still want a pop of color!

Thanks everybody! I really like the idea of the sash, but it seems it doesn’t work that well with my dress. It may look okay when everything else in the wedding gets put together. But if it still doesn’t look right, that’s okay, I’ve got a great back-up plan! I’m gonna tie a purple bow onto my pearl bracelet.
Thanks again, for all your input! I’m glad everybody seems to like the lace!

Love the lace….not a fan of the sash! Maybe it’s because of the shape of the sash and the appliacation on it. It might look better with just a plain colored straight line sash, but it could look better just with the lace. 🙂
