haha sorry ladies that last post reversed the pictures on me!!! but yall get the idea 🙂
WOW! I love love love these and they would be perfect for mfy little girl also! May I get a tutorial and an estimate on how many crystals you used? (And where you got your materials…. this is the first “bling” shoes pic I’ve actually looked at.)
honestly it was super simple and maybe too about 5 hours total. the shoes we bought at walmart for $9 and then i bought silve glitter paint and glossy red paint from Michael’s. I painted about 4 coats of the silver on the shoes and in between each coat i just took a hairdryer to them to dry the paint faster. then i did the same thing with the red paint of the bottoms. i am a huge shoe lover and Christian Louboutin is my fav shoe designer and i didnt want to harm my real pair of black satin pump so i decided to just bling out mine and then i had extra crystals and used them for my flower girls shoes. now the glitter paint is to make it so that the spaces between the stones are not as noticeable because they blend with the sparkle. you will need a tube of E-6000 glue(easy for fnd at walmart or a craft store) and crystals. now the ones i bought i ordered on ebay and they looked amazing and not at all cheap. the shoes i did for my flower girl are a size 4 and my bridal shoes were a size 7.5. i purchased 3 packs of 1000 RHINESTONE RESIN 4MM FLATBACK 16SS CRYSTAL COLOR and 5 packs of 1000 RHINESTONE RESIN 3MM FLATBACK 12SS CRYSTAL COLOR from Bead_better on ebay. they cost anywhere from $1-2.50 a pack. for the flower girl shoes i only needed one pack of each and i still had some left over. how i did mine was to spread the glue thinly over a small area at a time. the glue is awesome cuz given if it starts to dry you are still able to apply the stones and they stay put. to apply the stones i used a dull pencil and dipped the lead tip into some of the glue so that it would make it easier to pick up the stones and place them where i wanted. you dnt really have a specific way that they have to go on, but i started with using the smaller stones to edge the tops and bottoms and then just started to fill in the shoe with stones like a puzzle, making sure to be random with the sizes i was placing on.
Good luck everyone! i hope this helps!!! and please sed me pics when you get yours all finished!!!
