A couple of other bees inspired this one.. see http://diy.weddingbee.com/topic/bottlecap-magnets and http://megandweswedding.blogspot.com/2011/10/diy-bottlecap-magnets.html which is a pretty good step by step.. I just wanted to show mine and throw out some tips..
I printed 10 pages o f these pdfs I made at Office Depot because they were the cheapest.. could upload online..I used glossy and 12 pt cardstock options.. My printer kept makin lines and blurry words.. I spaced entirely too many images in a row.. I’d suggest half as many as I ended up having to whole punch every other graphic.. I will be using the spare inbetweens hopefully for cupcake picks.. still working on that..
If you order from etsy seller for the parts.. she includes instructions telling you to do the clear fizzy pop attached to your graphic first.. get out the air bubbles and then stick in the bottle cap.. I failed to read the directions and did my first 10 or so backwards and ended up with visible bubbles..
It is hard to get all the bubbles out and so I started using the score tool from the martha stewart score board.. made it so much easier and saved my fingers from hurting.. I did about 300 of these in three days.. I could only stand about 100 a day..
Anybody else working on this project?
