Great project to work with my mom on!
These are for my romance / Love Story Bridal Shower. Pics and directions below.
I am sooo happy with how these came out I think they are gorgeous and professional looking even though they are 100% DIY in powerpoint.
I designed the card uses several I have seen out there as inspiration, I than printed it with my basic ink jet printer on a shinny light pink paper I got from paperandmore.com. I had issues printing on the navy blue paper I got but this and hot pint worked GREAT the colors showed up exact! I used the card stock weight even though the site disclaims it might not work in printers I tested with a sample and it and all the ones I printed worked great. I didn’t print all at once I did them in groups of 3 found that worked best in terms of not jamming.
I got the big 12’’ dollies from ebay for under $15 for 70 or so. And spray glued the backs of the cards and put them on the dollies and cut off the top and bottom parts.
My mom is crazy so she actually make slits in the slides of the dollies and put the ribbon through before we glued so when you open them the ribbon stays with it however if she wasn’t doing this I wouldn’t have done it but it really didn’t take her long at all she used and my brother box cutter from work.
The envelops also from paperandmore and I made the address labels by making a template in word and printing them out and using a Martha Stewart stamp that I got on ebay since they stopped selling this patter in stores. They do have many nice ones in craft stores but I just made up my mind would have been cheaper to use a 40% coupon at Michaels but oh well, I want what I want! I used roll-on glue to stick them to the envelopes and it held up very well in the mail.
