Ok ladies, next DIY. I love sewing/crafts and have fallen in love with the fabric flowers I have seen on here. I am not really into real flowers, so I have been looking into alternatives. I got really inspired to do my bridesmaids “bouquets” by this post:
These purses were soooo beautiful, I just had to have them for my 6 girls.
They are pretty time consuming by the time you make all the flowers, & I glued them to the purse with E6000 glue, but TOTALLY worth it!!!
Wedding colors: Oranges & Yellows with a pop of purple
Fabric Flower Clutches:
I used just under 100 fabric flowers, about 14 for each clutch. I got my fabric on sale for about $3/yard (various times at Joanns). I used about 4 yards total for the clutches. (Total:$12)
I got my actual clutches off of ebay for about $5 each (Total $30).
For the handles, I used some of the crystal bling from my centerpieces, cost about $8 for 12 feet, used about 12in per purse (Total: $4)
Butterflies: I used 2 small per purse, came in packs of 8 that i got on sale last fall at Michaels for $2 a pack. (Total: $3)
Total cost: Aprox $49 or only about $8.25 per purse!!! Way cheaper than a bouquet & they get to keep it!!
I will fill them with a lil wedding day emergency kit when I give them to the girls
Let me know what you think!!!
Sorry for the cruddy pics, need new camera!!
