DONT DO IT ANNA MAE!!! SERIOUSLY, YOU’RE JOKING RIGHT?
You are kidding, right? If not, is it a work in progress?
mmmm…. sorry i am not a fan
Yikes! Not good.
Aww, I think I know what dress you’re trying to recreate – the Bottega Veneta grecian gown that Leighton Meester wore? This one?
I think the reactions above might be from a mixture of the fabric, which is possibly not as soft, sheer and sheer as the original chiffon and also the fact that it’s only pinned and not properly fitted.
I’m sure it will look different when it’s all done.
I am not trying to be malicious in anyway, nor am i a seamstress or designer. However if you are trying to recreate the dress in the photo that Vera_Girl posted, I think you might have too many layers of fabric or like Vera_Girl said you might want to try different fabric altogether.
By the way, The Bottega Venata Gown is absolutely gorgeous. I can see why you chose it.
I am a designer. who ever made this wasnt off in their thinking, just maybe off in their skillset. However. the bodice should have been made fitted then a pleated overlay should have been made. The skirt should have bee a flat a line and the definition should have been added off of the shape.
FISTYFISTY if you haven’t completed these dresses and this is def the style you are looking for may I suggest barijay #227
@ jleighr: at only $135 that’s awesome!
People this is not the final outcome! This is just a work in super process! Please check the final outcome in my gallery
Its only missing one detail on the shoulder… But this last one its just the last fitting!
