- Wedding: February 2012
I had so much fun collecting brooches from friends and family. That wasn’t the original plan, but as word spread that I was making a brooch bouquet, I started getting emails and facebook messages from friends/family all over wanting to contribute. It really meant a lot… especially since we are just having a very intimate (just us!) courhouse ceremony.
I went with the wired brooch method instead of the foam ball and only used about 50 pieces. I wrapped the stems with floral tape and then satin ribbon and did a “second coat” of ribbon … twisting it on two sides and decorating it with pear corsage pins. The cameo is from my FMIL. She picked it up in Italy before my FI was born. It is my something borrowed… as I’m giving it to FSIL after the wedding 🙂
