We had a white cake by Archie’s — white almond cake with white sugary frosting (it was the taste of my childhood — Archie used to work for Hough Bakeries, which closed a while back but was very popular in the early 80s in Cleveland.) It was three tiers, and we asked for a different white design on every tier. We set it on peacock feathers.
The cake topper was the one my parents had used at their wedding in 1972.
The cake server and knife came from Things Remembered.
