junebride2014:  Just my two cents but I personally wouldn’t do more than two different kinds of styles on one cake as it may get to look too busy. Maybe Pick you favorite design of the “busy” ones and then do plainer layer in the middle. you could still ombre and be fine but three completely different would look a bit odd or off to me. Good Luck.

@junebride2014: I actually LOVE this style or cake, and I don’t think that 3 different layers would be too busy, though at 4 layers I draw the line. I love the roses on top!! Something similar to B or G. I also like the ‘crinkle’ layer for the bottom (E, F, H)

The quilted print is too linear IMO between the other two textures, but I think that swirls or the simple lines would nicely complement the top and bottom layers. Swirls would probably be my personal preference, given that the ‘crinkle’ is already running horizontally around the cake (if that makes sense) and the simple lines would be similar to that…but it’s hard to say without seeing them together for sure.

Another idea its to do two different layers and leave the third one plain.

This is kind of your pattern in reverse, to help get the idea: http://cakecentral.com/g/i/2852446/a/3264902/three-tiers-of-mexican-hot-chocolate-cake-with-red-chile-whipped-chocolate-ganache-and-vanilla-bean-buttercream-in-textures-to-echo-the-design-of-the-brides-dress-tier-sizes-6-9-12-to-serve-100-guests/

Good luck! Can’t wait to hear what you decide!

oh I love the idea of the three different layers.  I think less is more on the middle layer (no to the crinkle).  Sooo beautiful!!
