If you are a budget bride a candy table is the perfect inexpensive favor and also a great colorful decoration focal point!
I ordered all the candy in bulk from Amazon.com (my husband has Prime
account). I just tried to buy enough to fill my jars and really didn’t follow
the recommendations I read, people said things like lbs/person (no way). I say Eye Ball it!
I ended up with a leftover candy.
I stuck to similar colors (my colors were
white & black with red accents so I chose things like gummy bears, sour patch
kids, runts, starbursts, swedish fish, gum balls, tootsie rolls, rock candy
and mini tootsie pops etc. Chocolates like Reese’s PB cups or M&Ms I bought
on Valentines clearance at Walgreens. Grab a few ring pops!! Adorbs!
I never paid more than $5 for most jars (garage sales, Wal-Mart, Marshalls, TJ
Maxx clearance). I borrowed one large apothecary jar from a friend to be the
focal point (she got it for about $20 at TJ Maxx).
I used VistaPrint (with retailmenot coupon) for my invitations so I got free
personalized stickers for the candy bags. Designed them myself with Pinterest
inspriration of course! 🙂
I ordered the 1/4 lb candy bags in bulk on papermart.com (200 for about $18)
Hobby Lobby has some great clear plastic serving spoons and tongs (you can use a 40% off coupon or buy when they are on sale for like $2!)
Dollar store black frames worked perfect for the signs. I designed and printed the signs myself and put damask scrapbook paper in the frame to give it a pop!
