I had been avoiding making a cardbox because I wanted it to be different/unique, but still tie into our theme a bit. I couldn’t pass this pre-decorated box up while browsing Michaels today and turned it into our cardbox! Actually quite satisfied with it.
Our wedding is at a venue with a vintage secret garden feel. Our colors are light blue and light yellow. And, our theme is butterflies.
We are planning on having light yellow flowers on the table to try and tie in our theme a bit more.
Oh, and we are going to Kauai for our honeymoon, which is why we really liked that it said, “Discover Her Pacifique” on the box”.
What do you all think?!

Adorable! I especially like the wooden letters.

Did you affix the letters onto the box at all? We picked up a box, also from Michaels, that doesn’t have a hinge, so we’ll be making something so the lid stays up on its own. We’re going to affix the letters onto the underside of the lid, but was looking for suggestions on the best product to use.

The letters were rather flat and stood up pretty well on their own, but we were afraid that a guest might accidentally knock it and they would all fall over so we used velcro dots and put one side on the box and one side on the other side of the top of the letter.
You can kind of see this on the “c” in the last picture since it is taken from an angle. We used white/clear velcro dots so they werent that noticeable.
The velcro dots just kind of reinforce the letters so that if you tap it (pretty hard, actually), they still stay in place.
Good luck with it!
