I need your help Bees! So I got the major part of my DIY cardbox done. Putting the fabric on the box was a complete pain in the butt. The lid is royal blue satin fabric and the bottom portion of the box is purple satin. Now it’s time for me to try and decorate it. I have some ideas but I’m all over the place, so I need your opinions!
So far the only thing that’s actually stuck onto the box in regards to decoration is the scroll trim around the cutout where the cards will be placed in. The word “CARDS” is not stuck on yet and I’m open to ideas for the best place to put it. The flowers are also just placed on right now to see how it looks. I really love the placing of the three flowers in the top left corner of the top of the lid.
Now my question is, should I add the same scroll trim around the bottom edge of the lid as in the picture below? (I just placed the trim there against the coffee table leg in order to let you guys see what it would kind of look like… don’t mind the plastic portion of it!)
If you guys like that additional trim around the edge of the lid, should I also add a flower to the top right corner of the side of the lid? Should the word CARDS stay on top or put it on the side of the lid? I can’t decide! I don’t have a picture of the possible flower on the edge of the side of the lid since I don’t have three hands lol.
Please help! All your opinions and critiques are appreciated! 🙂
