What if you added some greens towards the top of the bottle. For me it looks to open. If you add the greens (or something different) it will enclose that and ancor your centerpieces as a whole. Another thought is adding different heights to your flowers, that way it gives it a little more drama and could catch your guests eyes! Good luck!

I thought about doing this for our centerpieces since we used these kind of paper flowers BUT I could never get them right…..

I tried milk bottles (the starbucks frappacino bottles) of both tall and short sizes… I did flowers of the same color, flowers where each petal was different, painted bottles, decopauged bottles, green paper coming out of the top of the bottles as pp suggested and I STILL couldn’t get them to look right.

I ultimately went with the flowers (w/o stems) layed out along the table runners by themselves b/c I got sick of working with them and was running out of time. pfft.

Hopefully you’ll have better luck! =D

I’ve done these in a vase I got from the dollar store and the paper is from wal-mart.

The vase is dirty in the picture and I have added a couple more flowers after but you’ll get the idea of different heights. I’m not using them as centerpieces but if you were to you can add votives around the vase or maybe add some clear beads you can find at the dollar store.

I’ve also added little buds in the center that is wrapped around the floral wire.

I have been working on some of these as well for my sisters wedding.  I have a few photos of  different things I’ve been working on.  I think I’m going to make seperate post since I have several photos.  Check it out if you want.
