She was engaged in Paris so I decopaged (sp?) the box with paris wrapping paper and bought an Eiffel Tower. It lights up with a tea light. The little loop that is hanging from the opening of the box will have a little sign saying Card Box. So thoses who aren’t wedding freaks like us will know what it is for! lol

Where did you get the box from to start with??

I got the box from Joanne’s when they were having a 40% off sale. Great sturdy box with little metal corners. But, you are very limited as to what the print is. Hence re-doing the outside with deco-page. IT was a very fun project.
I cut a slot into the box with a exacto knife. (this was the hardest part! the cardboard is very thick…or I’m really a woose! lol)
I tore the paris paper into many different sizes and burned the edges. (I wanted that old world map effect.) then placed the papers all over the box till it was completed. I hadn’t deco-pauged since I was 12 or so…..that would be many, many, many…..years ago!
