So, my fiance and I have a running joke about how we should be cows because of how much we like food. So, we made our cake toppers cows as a little joke. 🙂
The pictures are kinda blurry. They’re so cute in person! It didn’t take very long to make, and it was free!
I already had cow salt & pepper shakers that I had bought from Ross for $3.99 a few months ago.
I painted over one shaker with black nail polish (because I didn’t have black paint) to resemble the suit jacket and used a silver metallic sharpie to make three dots and a bowtie. 🙂
For the bride, I painted the shaker with white paint to resemble a wedding dress. I tried to make a sweetheart neckline as best as I could lol. To make the veil, I cut a small circle out of tulle and folded it in half to make a semi-circle. I sewed the top of the semi-circle and pulled the thread until the top cinched together. I placed two small pieces of double stick tape we had leftover from our invitation kit on the top of the bride cow and pressed on the veil and three small round beads I had in my bead kit. Note: crazy glue would probably work better than the double stick tape. 😉
