So I orginally tried to fade the ab crystals to a blue crystal and it didn;t look good so I painstakingly took have the crystals off my shoes sanded, taped and repainted my shoes. I didn’t want to buy more crystals and didn;t want to spend the time so i figured I would try to glue some lace on them and I think they turned out pretty good. I really like them.
This is them finished:

Hi. I really like the idea of the lace. Can you tell me how you did it? You said you used a hot glue gun, but the lace I was thinking of using would be see-through if you know what I mean… so you can still see the colour of the shoe underneath. Would your method work? It would be great if you could also tell me how you got the lace to fit so nicely on the shoe since it’s not a flat surface. Thanks, Alison

I used E6000 and it dries clear and I cut the fabric while the paint on my sues was still wet, so it stuck to the shoe I did some triming on the heal to make it fit good and you can’t tell. I used a lighter to singe the frayed edges of the lace and used a knife to press it into the creases of the shoe where I could. I only glued the outer edges so there wouldn’t be tons of glue. you could probably use spray adhesive to cut the lace right but you will need extra more glue.
