Here are the supplies:
Fine-gauge silver wire, silver metal combs (better than plastic b/c they can bend and accommodate your style and are more durable), ribbon, headpiece. I also used wire snips.
The finished piece:
Incorporated into my hair at the trial run:
Obviously the combs will be hidden on my wedding day. The trial run on the hair was more about getting the style down, and to put that headpiece on would mean destroying the ‘do when I took it out. The side-swept pieces will go over the metal combs, and the ribbon is more for looks than practicality. It adds a hint of our wedding day color, though (wine)! My veil will attach right behind the back of the headpiece, and I’ll have the option of removing the veil after the ceremony. The hairdresser will show my ladies the specific pins she’s using for the veil (they’ll be a different color), and they’ll just have to remove those pins and pull the veil directly out.
