Wow that look should be very fairytale princess. I think pearl and crystal will look ok, here’s a link to a step by step guide that I found.

In which case you may want to pick a pattern for you pearls vs crystals. Or stick with a random pattern, it’ll definately be unique. Put up pictures when you’re done!

Instead of doing individual crystals they also sell the ones that already come in patterns.  I think they are mainly for use on like shirts and bags and maybe jean pockets.  You could do something like that for the middle and then fill in the rest at random.

I used 2mm rhinestones and used a ton to do the Hello kitty pattern on my DIY shoes. One tip I have is try using a wax pencil or oil pastel to draw on your pattern before you start gluing 🙂 Good luck!

@talamasca – they do have the iron on ones but they also have the sticky ones to put like on albums or vases.  I’m sure you could still use glue and apply it to the sticky strip.
