Save the Dates
For our Save the Dates I wanted something with our picture. Of course I thought of the greeting cards with the photos on them. I checked numerous sites that offered greeting cards but didn’t like any of the designs! I checked Walmart, Walgreens and CVS. Finally I decided on the blank white format from Walgreens. I found the damask picture that I liked from Google Images and uploaded it in place of one of our photos. You can see the design on the right side of the Save the Date. I printed two sets at Walgreens for a total of 40. They were $12.99 a set but I also was able to save $5 from a promotion they were having at the time.
Wedding Website Card
When I picked them up, I realized I had left out our wedding website on them! I was so upset. So I designed the below wedding website cards by using Microsoft Word. To make these little cards you do the following:
- Open up a new document in Microsoft Word
- Go to Tools/ Letters and Mailings/ Envelopes and Labels
- Go to Label Tab
- Click Options
- Select 3612- Business Card Under Label Products: Avery Standard
- Click ok
- Click New Document Button
- (I have attached the blank template to this post for your convenience!!)
This will give you the template for the cards. Then I uploaded the same graphic from the Save the Dates and used that as the background for the little card. I added a text box on top of that. Set the color to white and transparent by double clicking on it. Then I uploaded my damask symbol and typed what I wanted!
I emailed them to FedEx, had them printed on cardstock and cut them myself! I printed out 4 pages for only $5.00 total!
I actually loved having this little side card to go along with the Save the Date. The way it coordinated together was awesome to me!
The grand total for everything was as follows:
$20 for Save the Dates
$5 for the Website cards
$18 for stamps
GRAND TOTAL for 40 Save the Dates: $43.00
