We see A LOT of flowers as wedding photographers and there’s a general wedding trend: if you haven’t gone the red-roses route you tend to go for a lighter base of flowers with pops of your chosen color (pink, yellow, green, etc). There’s a reason people continue to do this: it works. However when Saira got married in a traditional sari that was all gold, as opposed to a white gown, she went with a dark purple flower to really emphasize the jewel tones embroidered into her dress. It was genius, it was unique, and we would LOVE to see more of girls trying new and different things with their flowers!
