Still trying to nail down the ideas for the tent decor for the reception tent. I have purchased 500 feet of Globe Lights and I really need it to be enough for my 40′ by 60′ foot tent. I don’t have other lights yet so I am not sure if I need them.
I also want to add a *ton* of bunting. I really love this look. I am thinking that I will have it strung near where the lights are so its not just looking like one big tangled mess.
So the hard part comes in when I try to decide if the two above options are enough – or if I could/should add more. I like the idea of the paper lanterns – and I actually own 35 of them from a friend’s previous wedding. This would be useful if the 500 ft of globe lights isnt enough and I need more light…but I don’t know if it will start looking cluttered when I do this. I could also hang them with or without lights inside them. Alternatively – if I didn’t want to get seperate lights I could hang them from a globe light and have that illuminate them – but I am not sure if it will be bright enough…
LASTLY – I am severely in love with the idea of these tissue paper pom poms people are using. They are so cute! But I can’t deide if they are cute enough to be in my wedding tent. And do I want them in muted colors or bright colors (see my color palette and centerpieces). Is the bright bunting enough?
Yikes – small pic but you get the idea.
