- Wedding: May 2012
I made a mock up of my centerpieces. Wedding colors are navy blue and silver/gray.
The damask print are actually pieces of flannel I had left over from a quilt I made last year. I painted modge podge mixed with silver acrylic paint to make it shiny and less flannel-like. The silver paint made a a nice metalic sheen to the fabric. The vases are from the dollar tree. I plan on pinning the fabric around the vases so that I can re-sell the vases later. I added the rhinestones and ribbon to pull it together.
I used cylinder votives from Michaels. I was able to get a set of 16 for $5. I used left over paper from my invites (also DIY’d) and punched them to make an interesting flame when lit. The punch is Martha Stewarts Punch All Over in Diamond Rings. As seen here: http://www.simonsaysstamp.com/servlet/the-39622/Martha-Stewart-DIAMOND-RINGS/Detail
I bought the punch at Michaels (with a coupon).
I am using different colored flowers, but these are all I could find at the grocery store. Also- the table runner is more left over fabric. I am still trying to decide between satin and organza navy runners.
