Hi all. Just thought I would share my newest DIY project. I wanted to add a pop of color to my crinoline skirt. It was very easy to do. I took a long piece of ribbon and started looping tulle onto it. I then quick-stitched (by hand) the ribbon to the skirt, just to hold the ribbon in place (just a couple of stitches). Then I cut the tulle to the length of the actual skirt tulle and wallah – it was done. I love it and it will look fabulous with my dress. Entire project took less than an hour to do. The best part is that it is temporary. It can be removed with a seam-ripper later on.
I used regular fabric bolt tulle 54 inches wide. I cut it in 24″ inch x 54 inch segments and then looped it onto the ribbon.
