I found a plain white guestbook at my cousins house, which she let me have since she had no idea where it came from. I took it home and wasn’t going to do anything to it, but I had time and extra damask fabric so I decided to give it a whirl.
I opened the guestbook wide open, to determine how much fabric I’d need. Then I hot glued the excess fabric to the edge of the trim inside the book, making sure to pull tight. Then I cut extra rectangle pieces about the size of the inside flap to hot glue over the unsightly mess. Then I made a run to Joann’s fabric and crafts and looked for something pretty to put on top, hence the big fuchsia flower which cost about $4-5 with my coupon I think. I had a spare black ostrich feather, peeled a couple sections off and glued it behind some petals, and glued a pearl spray in there also. Then I peeled off the alligator clip behind the flower and spread hot glue on the back of the flower and pressed it onto the middle of my guestbook. Voila!
