- Wedding: November 2011
I didn’t want to pay the outragous prices that flower preservation and pressing companies charged, so I thought I would try my own flower preservation! I dried my own wedding bouquet flowers for about eight weeks, and then brainstormed ways to display them in the house, without making it look like a wedding threw up all over our home.
(I posted a tutorial over at my blog http://supernovabride.com/index.php/2012/02/diy-wedding-flower-preservation-and-pressing/ and there’s a bunch more photos too, including closeups)
I’m really, really pleased how this came out. it only cost me $149 bucks! $19.99 for each frame, plus $4.85 each for the custom size mats. I still have a bunch of flowers leftover. Any thoughts on what I should do with those?
