I’m so proud of my wedding flowers! I’ve spent the last 5 months making handmade felt flowers in shades of ivory, blue, and taupe. I’m making all the bouquets and boutinneres, as well as LOTS of extra flowers that our florist is mixing in to our table centerpieces so everything looks unified.
Our wedding will be a swanky lakeside affair, to be held on October 5, 2013 by the water at my parents lake house. What do you think?

These are lovely. Where did you get the template?

I didn’t use a template. Everything (and I mean EVERYTHING!) is cut by hand. Freehand! Well, that’s not 100% true: I traced around a dinner plate to make circles for starting the roses. But that’s the only sort of template I used.
There are tons of instructions online for making felt flowers.
I came up with my own method for attaching the stems, though, and put a tutorial on my personal blog, Librarian Tells All. You can find it here: http://www.librariantellsall.com/2013/06/how-to-make-felt-flowers-on-stems-for.html
