I haven’t tried them myself so I can’t say how easy, etc they are….but my friend’s mom bought king sized white pillow cases at Sam’s and slit them up each side and hemed the slit adding a ribbon tie to cover those metal folding chairs many churches, etc. have.  They turned out really cute….but keep in mind the only covered the back of the chair, not the sides.  You could always pick up some cheap-o ones at Goodwill to test it out on and use iron on hem tape instead of sewing if you are a non-sewing machine type of gal 🙂

I am using 54″ (not certain of size!) square tablecloths.  If your caterer or venue has these available, you can put it over the chair and tie two corners in a knot on the back.  You could easily put ribbon around the knot to add some color.  I think the tablecloths are actually more expensive to rent than the chairs themselves but since they are much more portable that’s what we went with.  I have about 150 that I’ll be selling after Oct 17.
