I recently did this cupcake ‘tower’ for our Engagement party, but we will be using it at our reception too! This was so, so simple to make, and very inexpensive!
I went to Dollar Tree, and got two glass-decorated dishes, two bags of clear decorating beads/stones, a glass, and super glue.
I started off by filling the glass with beads – took two bags exactly. I then glued the bottom of the glass to the first plate. I went around the rim on the outside with glue to “seal” it. I finished by adding super glue to the top rim of the glass, and placing the plate ontop. I flipped the entire thing over and went around the outside on the top half to “seal” it again.
I then stacked a few heavy books ontop for pressure, and the entire thing took only 10 minutes or less to dry!
What does everyone think?
Total project cost: $5.25! It’s heavy duty too! Cake stores/craft stores wanted $45+!
Ps) Sorry for the cruddy picture – it was taken by my cell phone. Ignore the messy background from crafting and my brother/finaces feet! (They tried to hide them, lol!).
