So I originally made a white hair flower that looked like this:
But when I tried it on with my diamond white dress and veil I didn’t like the noticeable colour difference. While I was scouring project wedding I came across this very soft hair flower made of tulle and thought that it would suit my dress better AND as a bonus I had a TON of diamond white tulle leftover from making my veil and so it would match PERFECTLY!
This is the project wedding hair flower I found with it’s non descriptive tutorial.
So I cut out the shape of the petal I wanted. Drew 5 of those petals to make a template. This was trial and error until I got it the size I wanted. And then used the template and cut 8 layers of tulle at once.
From here I decided it wasn’t full enough and so I cut another 8 layers and added them to the first 8 layers.
I then twisted the petals so they weren’t all lined up and sewed the middle to keep the layers in place and removed the blinged center from the old flower for the new one.
When I made the old blinged center the first time. I cut a small styrofoam ball in half and added the beads by threading pearls and crystals with pins and then inserted them into the styrofoam ball. I added some glue before pushing them all the way down for security.
For this flower I wanted the bling center a bit smaller and so I removed some bling and cut down the styrofoam until it was the right size. When it was the right size I hot glue gunned the center into place.
From here I glued an alligator clip to the back of the flower and ta da! Hair Flower!
I love how soft and romantic this one is! And you can ruffle the petals to give it a nice fullness!
I am very happy with the way it turned out!
