Here are my finished DIY invitations. They are fairly basic with the only additive being a satin bow that I tied from a roll of ribbon that i bought separate; Most of the bows were purple to match the print of our names but a few were silver. The only drawback? I had NO idea how long it would take to tie each individual bow! But they’re done, out the door and on their way:)
I bought the silver and white heart swirl designed invitations in packages of 6 at a local discount store. I was so lucky that they were clearnaced so each pack of 6 only cost 50 cents! They included a large envelope and printing instructions for your computer. I also bought the matching RSVP cards which were half the size plus another blank card that could be used as a Reception card, Menu card, Direction insert, table number or any other creative idea you have for stationary needs. These also came with their own envelopes in packs of 6 (for 50 cents!).
A fun project, but I got to say, if I had a larger wedding, I might think again before DIY-ing an invite that I’d have to tie all those bows for!! What do you think???
