Started my pomander diy the other week. Have 2 done just need 10 more. Just started doing it in steps. Cut all the paper folded, cut and twist then open. I’m still in that process, the open part. Then will start sticking/gluing them on the 3sized styrofoam balls. When all finished will add the bow ribbon.
Here’s some pictures of how I did this:
Cut 5×7 tissue paper. Take 4 and fold like a fan the long way, half an inch for each fold
Twist 22 Gauge Floral wire. I cut 5inchs for each.
Then I cut the edges to how I like
Then seperate carefully the tissue. I did one on each side to start then the rest. Carefully.. I did rip a few, but cant really tell when its all put together.
Glued 2 ends of ribbon together and then added some wire to it and stuck it in the ball and then hot glued around it.
My son and then our cat trying to get out the back door..
Then I added the flowers. 4 on top. 4 on bottom. Then 6 around the center/middle.
Then added 29inch long ribbon and made a bow.
Hope this all helps. I know the first ball I did has a few more flowers, but this looks a lot better. And easier now that I know how many flowers I’ll need for each ball.
Got the 3sized ball from my work, Joann Fabrics. They come in a 6 pack. Tissue paper from an ebay seller. Which I ordered 4 sets of 20 sheets of 20x30inches. Ribbon is from Joann Fabrics. Satin 7/8. I think I bought 3 to use for all 12 balls. Don’t forget to bring coupons. They do help, not that any of this is expensive. The most I paid was $20 something and that was for the tissue paper from ebay.
