Very nice, I was going to ty and do something similar, what did you use?
Hi guys, I found lace at Joann Fabrics with those medallion-type designs on it for about $15/yd with a 50% off coupon. I cut out enough for the belt (we got lucky that exactly 8 medallions fit perfectly around her), then layed them across iron-on batting how I wanted them to stay and carefully cut the batting in one strip right around the pieces – use lots of pins and a level to make sure they’re even.
I then used needle and thread and a “Lost” marathon to stitch beading over top for some sparkle. Once it was in belt form, my Mom stittched it right to her dress.
They sold trim that looked JUST like that ready-made, but it was $80/yd, so I went the DIY route.
Check dance/costume websites for trim, that’s where I got the idea
