I still need to make the handle and wrap it in black ribbon
Love these! They are sooooo cute! Wish I had seen these before my wedding. I wasn’t 100% enthused with my bridal party’s artifical flowers. I ordered them online and had to bulk them up to get them to look decent. The pearl bouquets would have been a nice touch… Oh well, too late now!
Can’t wait to see your finished product 🙂
I am doing something similar to this for my wedding also, but only using crystals. Mine doesn’t look as full. What size crystals are you using? How do you get it to look rounded?
Nice job. I did these too and I love love them. I can’t wait to give them to my girls.
@tdmklm1217 use different sizes that helps full it out. I have make a few of these (some for me other sold on ebay) and 8mm, 10mm and very little 6mm work well together.
and one other site that I can’t seem to find at the moment. I used several different size beads that I bought at Joann’s when they had a sale, lucky me. The bigger the pearl the less you will need. I really liked the larger ones. I used 12mm 10mm and maybe a few 8mm. I bought the largest that they had in stock. I used pearl and clear rounded beads as well as a couple variety packs of the swarkovski bicone beads. It really creates a different kind of texture to use different beads. The smaller ones are best if you plan to make matching boutonierres, like I did. They are gorgeous and depending on the type of wire you use I found they get tangled so unfortunately it didn’t work for me the doughnut process. So I just bent the wire into a rounded shape once I had all the beads together. Turning it upside down helps and lifting beads that fall under.
About how many bead if you had to guess did you use for each bouquet?
I am not sure how many beads I used, it depends how big you want the bouquet to be.. I think other Bees used a lot more than I did I want to say about 100-125 each? And the boutonierres I used about 20 of the small beads each
These are beautiful!! Do you mind if I ask about how much each one costs to make? And what kind of wire did you use?
It really depends on how many beads you use and how big you would like them to be. Each bag of beads 64-144 cost $4. The wires cost $2, I used floral wire will have to look at the guage it was, I think I used 4-5 rolls of wire for 4 bouquets and 11 boutonierres. Then you can choose ribbon or fabric of some kind to wrap it. The way I did it would cost less than $20 per bouquet.
Completed !!! yay
Very proud of how the Bridesmaids bouquets turned out. My favourite project of all
My three completed bridesmaids bouquets !!! So pretty.
I am planning my wedding for next year April. If your wedding is before this date, are you willing to sell your bouquets to me? I looked into making them but I have no time. Thank you in advance.
