The first picture is the pocket fold closed. I am plaining on diy’n my own envelopes with vellum paper because I don’t want to send the invite as is. I was debating on shipping with the belly band or maybe without as I’m sure it will drive cost up. However the FMIL to be blessed us with about 200 or soo .32 envelopes. So I can keep the belly band. I added the belly band last of course.
The second picture is without the belly band of course. Although I fell in love with it… The belly band makes it look so much better. Good looking FMIL.
The last picture is a picture of the invitation itself. The paper on the right of the actual invite is a picture of the rsvp.I don’t like the way it’s housed so I will be having it going in the upright position as opposed to on the side of it. I love the layer look, so of course I have to house the directions and since most of our guests are in town we will add a poem as opposed to accomodations and hotel stay.
Everything was done from scratch. Got the 12×12 cardstock on sale @ Joanns and the strips for the belly band was actually extra paper laying around after the initial cut of the pocketfold. I was going to go with cards and pockets and decided why go through them to do it and I can do it myself and save money. I used double sided tape…. Although I have to get some smaller than what I used because that tape was pretty wide for my fold overs.
What do you all think? Mind you this is my very first trial run. Please be honest.
I forget where I got the information.
