We were pretty thrifty with our Save The Dates!
I had my sister take a photo of us in the woods while it was snowing one afternoon; we used an image on our Save The Dates because some of our guests haven’t met both of us. I then downloaded a free trial of Adobe Photoshop, meaning I had 30 days to perfect our design. I purchased the ‘Bombshell Pro’ calligraphy font from Emily Lime (which I will also be using for my invites, programs, thank you’s, and other signage) and downloaded a free font called ‘Pablo’. I drew the branches and the heart with a black marker and simply scanned them into Photoshop; I am sure this can be done within Photoshop, but I would not recommend it for an amateur (like me). I then uploaded my 2 Photoshop designs to Vistaprint.com and had them printed as postcards (Note: Be sure to download the postcard templates from Vistaprint & create your designs within the template)! After receiving the postcards from Vistaprint, I printed addresses on clear labels, stuck a postcard stamp in the corner, and popped them in the mail. Creating a postcard reduced the price of postage and completely eliminated the need for envelopes. We were very happy with the quality of the postcards and would definitely recommend this project to others!
Next on the to-do list: DIY invites! Wish me luck!
