I have always wanted to be a blogger of some sort. I had lots I wanted to write but not a consisent theme to create one blog. I would need millions to keep up with my ideas and things I want to blog and write about. However, I have realized my wedding has combined many of these for me. I thought about this as I am putting stamps on my DIY save the dates.
My fiance and I are having a spring wedding. Our theme is an Elegant Chic Ranch style weding. We recently created our wedding website and were in the process of figuring out our “Save the Dates.” I knew I could create something that I would be happy with and something that would be equally as good, but budget friendly. In one night I sat down and created our save the date photo template on the computer. there were many to choose from from all the different designs.
Price of creating my Save the Date= $0.
I ran out of ink at my house and did not want to print my cards at home. I had a coupon code for walgreens and they printed 100 Save the Date cards for 12.00. SOLD! and it only took an hour!
We decided on one and the next step was to print and mail… I knew that now I probably actually had to spend money. I went out to my local Hobby Lobby and picked up a few supplies… Brown Rustic Envelopes (50% off so I spent $6.00 for 100 envelopes) and a rounded paper edge punch for $3. I created my own envelope template on Pages with a font and Viola!!
Long story short I created 100 Save the Dates for $21.00 and at $0.21 each!!
We love the simplicity of the card and envelope. They turned out so well, but it definetly helped having a great photographer!! 🙂
