How did you do this?? I love it!
Thanks ! Glad you liked it. It was simple, and I think my materials were less than $20.
Images #28 and 29 of the article were my inspiration.
I bought 2 heavy presentation boards from Wal-Mart and covered one in a light weight fabric. I used hot glue to attach it, but it probably would’ve been easier to use spray adhesive to attach the fabric to the front of the board, with hot glue to just secure the edges that were wrapped around to the back of the board.
I then cut and attached the ribbon. I secured each end of the ribbon by wrapping it around the back of the board and fastening it with a dab of hot glue on each side. To make it where the ribbon held the cards (my cards were flat sided), I used craft glue and made a very thin line of glue all the way across the bottom of each strand (I used a glue syringe to get a very thin line). This helped create a pocket where I could insert the cards. The cards didn’t want to 100% stay on their own, so I used double sided tape on the back of each card, which provided just enough adhesive to keep it flattened against the board.
The back of the board looked really messy since all the ribbon and fabric edges were visible, so I used the 2nd presentation board to act as the back of the board; I simply lined the two boards up and used hot glue to make them stick. This made it look nice and neat!
