DIY: Stir Sticks and Apple Cider Table
I planned to order stirrers. My budget had other plans….
I bought brown kraft paper from Michaels and had already purchased one of these bad boys for a previous craft project:
I punched scalloped circles and used an H stamp with purple ink. I bought Woodsies sticks and once again relied my handy dandy glue gun!
After I made about 75 of these… I decided I might try something else. I seen on a wedding blog stirrers with fun sayings. So I used the same woodsies sticks, kraft paper, and I also bought some purple paper as well.
I made little flags ….
I used Avery Mailing labels (with an adhesive back) and printed fun sayings. I cut them to fit on the flag and voila!
Some of the sayings I used:
–All you need is Love
-Sip it up!
-Love is Sweet
-Stir it up!
-Happily Ever After
-the good stuff
-Eat Drink & Be Married
-Stir things up a bit
I knew from the start I wanted to serve apple cider at the wedding. I loved everything about the autumn season including apple cider, and wanted it to shine through on our big day. I coodinated with the caterer to put the apple cider in the coffee urn and collected over 100 pint size mason jars to serve the apple cide (and about 75 more for flowers and candles around Cobblestone Hall)! We used the drink stirrers for the apple cider table and the bar.
