Hello Fellow Bees!
I made my Unity Candle and I am so pleased with the results!
Candle: Bought from Michaels for about $5 (Tapers were less than $1)
I saw a lot of different Unity Candles online, but I REFUSED to pay $40+ for a candle that I knew I could create with some hard work. So I set off to my local Michaels and found everything I needed for my perfect Unity Candle.
I started with a White Linen scented candle
I then took a monogram that I made in Publisher (sorry no template) and printed it on vellum
I cut the vellum down to fit center on the candle
I then used glue dots to secure the vellum to the candle (don’t use a hot glue gun because it will melt the candle) I then adorned the vellum with bling!
So as you can see there is a faint paper line and I wanted to cover that up so I got to work on some ribbons I layered Purple, Chartuese, and Silver ribbons with glue dots and then I attatched them to the candle with glue dots covering up the paper lines
I followed the same process for the taper candles and added a little bit of bling and Voila a Unity Candle under $20
