I think wedding invitations aren’t appreciated much. So much thought and effort goes into them and they all get thrown away!
So we wanted to have something a little bit different for our wedding.
I had lots of ideas and my dad and fiance actually put in all the effort to make it happen!
I wanted a sort of keepsake box with a scroll inside
The boxes were laser cut and and had our names engraved on them (ignore all the mess around the box LOL! thats what happens with DIY)
The photo above was the bar we made for the scrolls and this is how the scrolls turned out

You definitely have to do a tutorial.

They were more expensive than paper invitations, but I think they were worth it.
Every one totally loved it!
The pattern for the boxes was designed and sent to a wood worker who laser cut them and engraved the pieces. They then came flat packed so we hand to assemble it.
We got some distressed paper (for an older look) from our local hobby shop and had the invitation printed in gold leaf
Then we bought some very thin colorless curtain rods and glued the invitation on like a scroll.
That is all! It wasn’t too time consuming. We made about 80 invites in 1 week
