I was so, so excited when I was able to finally print these last night! I designed these myself and to save money, the fiance and I were going to print them at home. I will say, I loved the whole process, but running out of ink is a nightmare.
Each invite is 5×7, so I could only fit one invite per sheet – no biggie. Direction cards fit 3/sheet. I printed the directions in color, then the front (picture) invite in color (text)…ran out of ink. Ran to the store and got color ink (already had black). Then came the final part…ran out of ink AGAIN, this time black. No idea what happened, but nonetheless, revamped my invites so the back was black & white and I love it!
Despite designing things all the time, I couldn’t get my printer to print exactly-on front and back and have it line up – so, I printed the front and back seperate, and took double sided tape and secured them together. My mom helped me cut them all out – it was a fun night!
After getting them cut and secured, I attached the direction card, punched two heart-shaped holes, and tied with red ribbon. I sent them out last night and are delivering some today…I’m so excited!
The best part of this all? Each invite was roughly $1.05 each, AND completely DIY! My maid of honor took the photo, and I designed everything. Can you believe this is ALL done in MICROSOFT WORD? 🙂
What do you all think?
