After reading several posts on DIY tissue paper pomanders, I was inspired to take on the project myself. I bought a pack of 3″ styrofoam balls at Michael’s, tissue and wire from the 99 Cent store and put together my first pomander. I’m happy with the result…almost. I really think I need to use bigger balls (pardon the language!) The tough part is that I got a 6-pack of 3″ balls for $4.99 and a single 4″ ball is $3.49. The 3″ balls are a huge savings! Oh, what to do…..
What do you think?
PS…my final result will be 12 pomanders (4 white, 4 green, 4 purple)

I definitely got 4″ styrofoam balls cheaper than $3.49 at AC Moore. They came in packs of 2 and were about $3 or $4. I would suggest looking there and you can always return the ones you bought from Michaels.

I think the 3″ look fine in the picture. How did you make it?
If your sure you want the 4″ styro balls, michael’s sends 40% off coupons for one item in some papers, and many bridal mags (I know BRIDES magazine) shave a 20% off your total purchase coupon that you might want to scoop up. Keep in mind, even if you have a bunch of 40% off coupons they may only let you use one per day. I hope that helps!

Are you interested in selling these pomanders? I’d like to purchase them in all colors if they are available. Thanks! 🙂
