It has been a struggle looking for the right bridal jewelry. It was just too plane or way too much for what I was looking for. The bracelets I did like I saw on Etsy, but they were so pricy! Everything was $75.00 or more…just for a bracelet! I refused to spend that much on something I knew I was probably going to wear only once. So after doing my daily browsing on weddingbee I was inspired enough to attempt making my bracelet. So it began….
I had a beautiful broach from an old sweater I had from The Loft. I ripped the broach off and tossed the sweater. Then my good friend who knows how to make jewelry took me to Joann’s and showed me what materials I needed. We found a beautiful clasp that went along with the vintagey feel of the bracelet. She lent me her crimping tool, gave me a 5 min. tutorial in the Joann’s parking lot on how to use it and off I went.
I started with the strand with the bigger pearls and then the 2 smaller ones. I did go through a period of trial and error just figuring out how to put it together, but 2 hours later this is what it ended up looking like. Is it perfect? Absolutely not! But, for it being my very first piece of jewelry I have ever made, and only spending $8.00….yes $8.00, I was pretty pleased with it! So bees….tell me what ya think!
