- Wedding: October 2010
Not to be, like, whatever, but I’m expecting people to cry at our wedding. I mean, people always cry at weddings, right? I sure do. So…I’m pretty sure tears will be shed at ours. There are a lot of emotional people in our families.
So I decided to supply the tissues. I have to admit, I totally stole this idea from Miss Frog. Her post was my inspiration. But I changed things up a tiny bit.
I got the envelopes on ebay. I looked at Michael’s, but they were WAY more expensive. And too big. I stuffed each envelope with 2 tissues. I got some skinny satin ribbon in brown and green, and tied some envelopes with brown, and some with green. Then I attached a sticker to the front of the envelope, with the words, “Tears of joy, tears of laughter, tears of happily ever after…” Some printed in green, others in brown, and put the green lables on the envelopes with the brown ribbon, and vice-versa. There’ll probably be about 150 guests at the wedding, and I’m planning to make between 40-60 of these.
I thought they were really cute. And Matt likes that they are a nice, personal touch for the guests when they go into the ceremony.
I want tears, people. You hear me??
