First day of trying on wedding dresses on and ended up with THE dress! I had three separate appointments. First place was lovely, lady was really attentive and we narrowed about 6 dresses to one I loved. Next place…complete opposite, lady was really nasty, asked my budget before even congratulating me then seemed annoyed at my small budget. Also hated all the dresses so no joy there. Last place was actually a lady’s house. She was thankfully really lovely and I tried so many dresses on each more gorgeous than the last.
I finally found the dress I loved which was a very hard choice! I believe it is a magdalaine Gardner? (spelling).
Weirdly though, I still didn’t have the super excited feeling everyone tells me they get…should I be worried? I never wear dresses so I did feel out of my comfort zone.

Some of us ladies never have that WOW moment no matter how much we love our dresses. I found the perfect dress for myself…wouldn’t change a thing about it but never had butterflies until I put it on on my wedding day. I would recommend you sleep on it for a day or two. If you were able to take pictures, look back at them and see if there is anything that bothers you after the newness of dress shopping has worn off. If not, go back and try it on again. If you still love it, it’s probably your gown. And when you get your accessories just right and put it on for the big day, you will feel just like the beautiful bride you hope to be!

I haven’t bought mine yet (hopefully going back to see my favorite this coming week!), but I am in the same boat is you. I’ve only gone shoppoing 3 times, and while I enjoyed it, I didn’t have any crazy emotional responses. But, whenever I think about dresses, I end up going back to this ONE dress in my mind (and pictures). I don’t think we’re all wired to have the big “wow” moment, but I have been wondering the same thing as you. Glad I’m not alone, and good luck on finding your dress @mishy!
